Beginnings | A Cinematic AI Journey In Fashion
Coming up in New York City as an actor and filmmaker, I’ve always had a love for fashion. I’ve loved the editorial stories told by geniuses such as Grace Coddington, or the work of Alexander McQueen. Being a dramatic narrative storyteller, the symbolism and cutting edge freedom in fashion has always intrigued me. Even though I worked with some of the top models in the world, coaching them in acting roles, I’ve yet to be able to translate some of the stories I’ve wanted to tell alongside fashion brands. I have so many stories in my hard drives ready to come to life.
With my discovering AI tools, the barrier to creating commercially viable fashion oriented storytelling has fallen.
I produced this image last month with MidJourney, Photoshop and Lightroom. While I have yet to achieve consistency across more images in order to take this to Runway or Pika to tell a motion picture story — in time [which I sadly have very little of at the moment to devote to this] and with the power of these tools I will be able to tell a myriad of stories which until this moment has been closed off from me.
I won’t spend too much time on how the commercial potential of this tech is a game changer. I will mention it is a powerful tool democratizing the ecosystem, giving marginalized and underrepresented creators tools to compete in a landscape that was often gate kept and off limits due to resources.
While I understand there are concerns in the creative industries, if you are AI curious, or terrified, I encourage creators to explore AI tools on your own, or — follow me on socials [X, LinkedIn, IG] or my Film3 OG Podcast on Spotify and Apple as I continue educating on Film3 and AI. You will also have an opportunity to be the first to know the updates on my projects.
At the moment, the enjoyment of exploring and experimenting, in engaging and producing parts of my imagination that had been locked away is the journey. The destination is the journey.
More, coming soon.
